Troy Jackson’s values are steeped in hard work and a passion for our state. He is a principled fighter and will work for all the people who might feel left behind. He will take bold moves that help the many families struggling and are one car repair away from not meeting their rent or mortgage.

He will help the senior living on less than $25,000 annually and needs to buy food and pay for heat, electricity and escalating property taxes on a house they have lived in for over 60 years. He will also help the people working two jobs and still can’t make ends meet, and don’t qualify for any benefits, and must go to food pantries to supplement their food.

I could go on because people, hardworking people, are struggling, and the system is broken. When considering that, as of mid-2025, 40% of Maine households are classified as ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) or in poverty, struggling to afford basic necessities like housing and child care. This includes 11% poverty and 29% ALICE, highlighting a persistent gap between wages and the cost of living (2025 ALICE report). I am confident that Troy will work for all of us and will take the bold moves needed to create real change.
