Ronald “Ronnie” Robert Hinkley
MONMOUTH – In the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, Ronnie was reunited with his best friend and brother. A life stolen far too soon from his parents, children, siblings, and especially his keeper, his baby sister.
Ronnie was born in Lewiston to Ronald and Rebecca Hinkley. He was taken home to Leeds and spent the rest of his childhood in North Monmouth, raising hell on North Main Street with his brother Mason. He spent his school years excelling in football, playing both offense and defense, standing as tall as his coach at just 12 years old. He took all the hits and kept on standing. He was a member of The Young Marines and enjoyed his time watching point.
Ronnie graduated with his GED from the Charleston Youth Program, an accomplishment he prided himself on, regardless of where he received it.
Ronnie had a love for concrete, and some of his best working days were spent with Concrete Craftsmen. Later, he worked proudly alongside his father at Envirovanatage, utilizing his license in environmental abatement.
Ronnie was a giant to many, a teddy bear to several, a bud to his mom, and a king. He was his baby sister’s keeper, protector, and forever Superman. He was a wild spirit but a gentle soul at core, having his friends’ backs and showing up when called, no matter the circumstances. Ronnie wasn’t one to mince words; he said what he thought and meant what he said. He was a believer that respect earned respect.
Ronnie was the proud dad of a beautiful daughter, his baby girl Qetisyah. She was the absolute light of his heart, and he adored her with all the love he could contain. He was also blessed with a son, whom he strived to push to be a man his son could see lead the way, not by occupation and money, but by heart, loyalty, and character; he is now forever his children’s watcher from above.
Ronnie is survived by both his parents; his sisters Emily Hinkley, Hannah Gauthier, and Amber Hinkley, a brother, Nick Witham, and his daughter Qetisyah Malinowski, along with her mother Annmarie; his son Maverick Hinkley, along with his mother Bridget, his aunt Lori Powell, Tammy and David Matthews, Lisa and Peggy Haynes, Erica Poland; his uncle Denis and his wife Liz Hinkley; his grandmother Gloria Hinkley, and Sharon Oliver; great aunt Sally Merchant; his second mom Tracy Strout; as well as his friends Matt Lyons, Dakotah Madore, Deon Sands, Adam Nutter, Mike Gorman, Jheremy Sanchez, Savannah Hallock, Senerity Dustin, his little momma Michelle Keim, Patience Merchant, Nick Krueger, and many friends he made along the way at MSP and the farm.
Ronnie joined on the other side of this world and in heaven, his best friend and brother from another mother, Justin Mason, his sister by choice Emily Benoit, his friend Jordan Roy, his aunt Catherine Gauthier, and his grandfathers Robert Haynes and Marshal Hinkley.
Although Ronnie’s body has ceased to stand tall, his soul and the love he carried for his family continue to remain.
A Celebration of Life Gathering was held Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine.
