DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m a retiree who would like to learn how to play the piano. I was just wondering if there were programs either at the local colleges or in groups or elsewhere that would help me to learn to play the piano. I can be contacted at 795-6791. Thank you! — Bernie, no town
ANSWER: I need your help with this one, dear readers! If you know of someone who can set Bernie up with lessons, please share the information.
Bernie, check with your local adult education classes and with music departments at colleges. In the past, I’ve known of college students who are mentoring those folks who want to learn piano and other musical instruments. Let us know what happens!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Leavitt Institute’s Class of 1963 will be celebrating their 63rd year reunion at Dale Talbot’s in Turner Center on July 26. For more information, contact me at 946-5579.

ANSWER: Yes, it’s been very cold out and we need to do what we can to provide folks with warm clothing. I really appreciate the faith and work ethic that the volunteers at the Drop-in Center exhibit as they help our unhoused community members who are in need. Thank you for all you do every day and I am always happy to support you by getting the word out to our readers.
