On Nov. 4, 2025, a referendum was put to Maine voters regarding changing state election laws and requiring voter ID at the polls. By a nearly 2-to-1 margin, Mainers rejected this initiative. On Feb. 16, 2026, we learned that Sen. Susan Collins is actively going against the will of her constituents (“Sen. Collins supports voter ID requirements approved by US House”) by supporting the SAVE America Act.
Come Election Day, make sure to remember this blatant disrespect for the will of the majority of Maine voters who made their opinion clear with the outcome of last year’s referendum vote.
