Carl Henson

LEWISTON – Carl Henson, 38, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 25, 2026, after his courageous health battles.

Born on March 6, 1987, Carl was the son of Laurie (Thibodeau) and Kirk Henson. Carl was a man whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Carl shared a profound love with his soulmate, Cassandra Michaud. Their bond was one of devotion, partnership, and true connection. A love that will continue beyond this life.

Carl had a beautiful heart and a spirit rooted in kindness. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Always willing to lend a hand, he was known as the one you could call for anything. A true handyman with remarkable skill and an even greater generosity. If something was broken, Carl would fix it. If someone was struggling, he would show up without hesitation. If a laugh was needed, Carl was there with his antics and sense of humor.

He cherished his role as “Uncle Carl” and held a special love for his nieces and nephews.

Carl was an amazing partner, loyal friend, and steady presence, and someone who made others feel safe, supported, and valued. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his love, generosity, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Carl is survived by the love of his life, Cassandra Michaud; his grandmother, Juanita Henson; his sister, Heather Finnegan (Henry); his nephew, Dylan Lord (Emilie) and daughters; his nieces, Makenzie Barnett (Torrey) and sons, and Kianna Finnegan; as well as his nephews Silas and Marcus Cornish. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family — both by blood and by love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurie and Kirk Henson; paternal grandfather, Edward Henson, maternal grandparents Romeo and Lorene Thibodeau; and other friends and family who are welcoming him home.

Services to celebrate Carl’s life will be held on March 28, 2026, at Albert & Burpee Funeral Home in Lewiston from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., with a prayer service at 1:30 p.m. An evening gathering will follow from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., where family and friends are welcomed and encouraged to share their stories and memories of Carl.

Condolences and fond memories may be shared with family and friends at http://www.albert-burpee.com.
