Nick Anderson scored in overtime and the Maine Mariners earned their 11th straight win, beating the Adirondack Thunder, 2-1, in an ECHL game on Tuesday morning at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.

Liam Gorman scored 12:16 into the third period to force overtime for Maine. In overtime, Maine’s Max Andreev drove to the net and flipped a backhander into Thunder goalie Tyler Brennan. The puck popped loose behind Brennan (27 saves) and Anderson tipped it over the goal line 95 seconds into overtime.

Adirondack took the lead early in the second period on a goal by Jackson van de Leest.

The Mariners improve to 32-15-5-2 and move into sole possession of second place in the North Division. They are one point ahead of Adirondack and three behind the division-leading Wheeling Nailers.
