LEWISTON – Cecile went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026, while surrounded by loving family. She was 97.
Born in Lewiston, on Nov. 22, 1928, she was the daughter of Raoul And Marie Turgeon. She was the last surviving child of 12.
She attended Lewiston schools. On Feb. 3, 1951, she married Joseph Paradis. They had five children. Once all were grown, she began volunteering with numerous organizations, which included the D.A.V., American Legion, St. Louis Parish where she became president of Ladies of St. Anne, Holy Family Parish where she taught C.C.D. and also served on the parish council as secretary. She was a eucharistic minister and involved in pastoral care. She loved playing bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles, knitting and crocheting.
She will be sadly missed by her children, family and friends, especially her friends at St. Mary’s Residency on Campus Avenue. A special thanks to Larry Morin and Celine, former administrators.
She was predeceased by her parents; all her brother and sisters; sons Armand and Mark; former husband, Joe Paradis; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind sons Paul (Janice) Paradis, Gerald Paradis Sr., and daughter, Diane Paradis Guimond; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
We want to express our sincerest gratitude to all at Montello Manor, long term care unit. Mom received wonderful care there and she was very fond of her many caregivers.
