It seems like the unjustified “military excursion” against Iran is experiencing mission creep. And let’s call it for what it is: Israel’s war. We have no business wasting billions of dollars on this war. Will Israel repay the U.S. for the money spent on this unwise war? Nope, I doubt it.
If it’s such a justified war, why haven’t any other Western nations joined the fight? When the smoke finally clears, it will be clear that all Israel and the U.S. accomplished was creating a vacuum that will be filled with extremists and terrorist groups; think ISIS on steroids.
The existential threat to Israel is no better today than before the war started. A whole new generation of Muslims are watching what’s going down and obviously will grow up with less than warm feelings toward Israel. I don’t know about others, but I would prefer the billions of dollars spent on this war to go back to taxpayers or to reinstate health care subsidies.
Enough of this nonsense.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
