Susan Archer
RUMFORD – Susan Archer, 67, died Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home in Rumford. Born in Blue Hill, Maine, on Sept. 18, 1958, Susan was the daughter of Donald Archer and Mary Curtis.
Known lovingly as “Mimi,” Susan was a devoted mother and grandmother whose children and grandchildren were the center of her world. She was known for her strong spirit, honesty, and deep belief that everyone deserved love and respect.
Susan was a gifted writer, artist, and master gardener who found joy in nature, music, and meaningful conversation. She had a love for antiques, old cars, and never passed up a yard sale. She also loved the beach and could often be found soaking up the sun.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Bean and husband Kevin of Lewiston, and their children, Maya and Moseley; her son, Jesse Archer and wife Madeline of Turner, her stepson, Shane Reid and wife Alyson and their children; Jonathan MacIsaac and family; her siblings; and many nieces, nephews, cousins; and dear friends, including her best friend, Linda Carter.
A celebration of Susan’s life will be held this summer in Eastbrook at the Yeo family camp on Molasses Pond, a place that meant so much to her and where she shared many special memories.
