DIXFIELD – Berton George Brown, 72, of Dixfield, passed away on March 28, 2026. He was born on July 31, 1953, in Dixfield, the son of George W. Brown Jr. and Edith Williamson Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, April Barnett Brown; his son, Trevor Brown, his stepson, John Bernard, his stepdaughters Michelle Bernard and Angela Dixson; and his grandsons Noah Gagnon and Caleb Bernard. He is also survived by three of his six brothers, Bernard G. Brown, Bruce G. Brown, and Baxter G. Brown, as well as his sister, Kim Smith.
A celebration of Bert’s life will be held at his favorite place, his camp in Carthage, on June 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Dixfield.
