My grandfather was a wonderful human being. He took me for a ride on his tractor and paid me one summer for picking weeds out of the bean rows. My grandfather taught me many things about life.

About 50 some years ago, my grandfather told me that the Republican was for the rich man and the Democrat was for everyone else. Now, 50 years later, those words could not be more prophetic.

When I look out of my dooryard and see the gap between the haves and the have-nots becoming increasingly wide, when a Republican is in office my grandfather’s words ring as true as they did 50 years ago.

Concentrated wealth at the top will surely topple when you remove the ballast.
