NORWAY — Doryce H. Green, 75, of Norway died Wednesday, March 16, at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center with her loving family by her side. She had battled her illness bravely for 30 years.
She was born in the Tuelltown neighborhood of North Paris, April 27, 1935, the daughter of Myron L. and Ethelyn Gibbs Herrick and was educated in West Paris schools. She was a very hardworker, having been employed at Penley Brothers and Paris Manufacturing before retiring in 1981 due to ill health.
She was very devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a very giving person. In her later years, she helped her daughter with her daycare and was known as Grammie Doris to the many children who went there as well as their parents. She was loved by many.
She is survived by her children, Lloyd M. Green and his wife, Ellen (Lorraine), Mitchell E. Green and his wife, Judy, Shane P. Green and his wife, Debbie and Lisa E. Emery and her husband, Danny; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Spencer, Mickey Green, Tim Hilden, Amanda Palmer, Veronica (Ronni) Green, Justin Santos, Jeremy Santos, Jared Santos and Deanna Emery; eight great-grandchildren, Logan Spencer, Sophie Green, Taylor Spencer, Avery Hilden, Tucker Hilden, Cameron Palmer, Chloe Doryce Wyly and Ian Santos; and a brother, Edward Herrick of Sumner.
She was predeceased by her parents: and two brothers, Leroy Herrick and Albert Herrick.
