Geraldine C. Brown

AUBURN – Geraldine C. Brown, 86, resident of 272 Main St., Auburn, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2021, at CMMC with her family by her side.

She was born in Richmond, on Aug. 29, 1934, daughter of Maurice and Mildred “Dearborn” Hinkley. She married her husband Edward Brown on July 7, 1961, who passed on Aug. 2, 2018.

Survivors include Edwards nephew whom they raised as their son, Billy Bryant. One brother George Hinkley and wife Sandy, three sisters, Sandra Madsen and husband Peter, Terry Hannington and husband Gary, Caren Thorne and husband Leo all of New Gloucester. And many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Taylor and two brothers, John and Harold Hinkley.

Geraldine loved listening and dancing to country music, camping and going for Sunday rides. She was always the life of the party, especially when she did her famous dance.

Visitation will be held Friday July 2, 11 a.m.- 12 p.m., at The Fortin Group, 217 Turn St., Auburn a Celebration of Life will Follow with committal at Oak Hill Cemetery at 1 p.m.
