LEWISTON — Anita B. Fortier, 84, of South Lisbon Road, Lewiston, died Wednesday, March 16, at the Marshwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following a short illness.
She was born Aug. 28, 1926, a daughter of Ralph and Corinne (Fouquette) Doucette. She was educated in Lewiston schools
She married Clarence M. Fortier and they were married for 51 years, until his death on Oct. 4, 2008. For many years, she worked with her husband in their Fortier Locksmith business in Lewiston.
Mrs. Fortier was a member of Prince of Peace Parish (Holy Cross Church). She enjoyed playing cards and beano. She also liked to knit. She never had children of her own, but loved young children.
She is survived by two brothers, Lucien Doucette and Laurent Doucette of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
