Beverly Louise Wallace
BRUNSWICK – Beverly Louise Wallace, 86, died unexpectedly Sunday July 4, 2021 at Midcoast Hospital.
She was born in Lisbon on March 19, 1935, a daughter of Clarence and Annie Reynolds Beal. She grew up on the Burrough Road in Bowdoin, attending local Bowdoin and Lisbon Falls schools. She married Carl E. Wallace on the front lawn of her childhood home on Sept. 21, 1957.
After some time living in West Point, Maine, the Wallace’s returned to Lisbon Falls where they lived until moving to Brunswick in 2011. Mr. Wallace died Feb. 23, 2013.
Beverly worked many jobs during the years, including the Worumbo Mill and the Dingley Press in Lisbon. She enjoyed spending time with her family as much as possible, visited West Point whenever there was an opportunity and got fresh lobster, clams and crabs straight off the boat. She especially enjoyed being seaside to watch the seals.
She was always willing to do for others without expecting anything in return. Her siblings have many memories of her being the oldest and caring for them as a second mother. She loved knitting sweaters, socks and mittens for her siblings in the winter.
She was predeceased by her husband; a brother Clayton Beal, a sister Donna Cunningham.
She is survived by her son, Eugene C. Wallace and wife Josephine of Lewiston, two sisters, Janice St. Amant of Lisbon Falls, Betty Byrd and husband John of Topsham, two brothers, Elwin Beal of Durham, Kenneth Beal and wife Mary Jane of Lisbon Falls; two grandchildren, Nicholas Wallace and wife Sarah Wallace, Sabrina Wallace and husband Robert Hespe; five great-grandchildren, Elijah Wallace and Brenden Hespe, Andrew Hespe, Robbie Hespe, Kaitlyn Hespe; a nephew whom she raised, Robbie Robinson and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Anyone who got to know Beverly knew her as a caring, thoughtful, and fun-loving person.
Friends and family are invited to visit 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the West Bowdoin Cemetery, Bowdoin.
