AUBURN- Arnold F. Ridley, 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of July 13, 2021 at the Oddfellows Home in Auburn, where he lived for the past few years. He was born December 27, 1938, the son of Albert and Helen (McGibbon) Ridley. He was raised and went to school in Litchfield, Me. and where he met and married Nancy Hartman. Together they raised 3 children.
He was a hardworking man who would never miss a day of work. The thing he loved most in this world was his family. He did everything he could for his family and more. He was the best Dad. Mom always said she couldn’t have chosen a better man to be the father of her children. He was not a big man, but he had the biggest heart.
He is survived by his daughters Tammy Voisine of Sabattus, Amy Levesque of Sabattus and Arnold Jr. of Manchester; a brother Gordon of Litchfield; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also several close friends of the family and all the wonderful nurses and staff at Oddfellows Home. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife Nancy; brother’s Richard, George, Edward, Norman and Bernard; two sister’s, Bernice and Gladys.
At the request of Dad, there will be no services. He will be buried at Litchfield Plains Cemetery with his wife.
