WEST PARIS — On Sunday, August 8 at 2 p.m., at the West Paris Public Library, the tuba ensemble, Low Commotion, will present an outdoor lawn concert. Low Commotion, formed in 2013, is an ensemble of euphoniums (tenor tubas) and full-sized tubas. The popular ensemble performs several concerts annually at senior living centers, veterans’ homes, churches, and libraries. Literature performed includes jazz, marches, classical and contemporary music.
This outdoor event is free and open to everyone. If you have a favorite comfy folding chair, you are welcome to bring it along. There will also be folding chairs available. West Paris Public Library is at 226 Main Street in West Paris. In case of bad weather, the concert will be inside the nearby First Universalist Church. Parking is available behind the Library. Sponsored by the Friends of West Paris Library.
