The Fourth Wall, the award-winning ensemble that is part chamber music group, part devised theater company, and part modern dance troupe, performs its family-friendly variety show Fruit Flies Like a Banana on Celebration Barn Theater’s outdoor, open-air stage at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21.
The Fourth Wall, which earned top marks for their “deft choreography” from the Wall Street Journal, blends music, theater, dance and acrobatics into a new hybrid art form. In their show Fruit Flies Like a Banana, the trio of musicians creates new interdisciplinary works and reinterprets classic repertoire — all performed in an order chosen by the audience — to create uniquely animated music.
“The Fourth Wall’s performance is spectacular and so much fun! They were in residency here at Celebration Barn in June and we are thrilled to share their magic with audiences of all ages,” said the Barn’s Executive Artistic Director Amanda Huotari in a news release.
The show is performed all across the country and has won numerous Fringe Festival awards.
Tickets cost $16 for adults, $14 for seniors (60-plus), and $8 for children.
