
Edward “Eddie” K. Field
AUBURN – Edward “Eddie” K. Field, 90, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away, Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Androscoggin Hospice House, Auburn, with his family at his side.
He was born April 10, 1931, in Portland, the son of Kenneth E. and Mary A. (Bickford) Field. Eddie attended school in Portland and Livermore Falls. He worked throughout the years as a Yard Assistant Operator in the Wood Room at Otis and Androscoggin Mill for 43 years. After retirement he continued doing small engine repair.
He married Mary E. Collette on March 4, 1947, and they enjoyed 49 years of marriage before her passing on Dec. 1, 1996. On August 4, 1998, he married Louise (Strout) Jones, they enjoyed 19 years of marriage before her passing on Dec. 6, 2017.
Eddie was a member of the Quarter Century Club, and a former member of the Jay Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling to Florida.
He is survived by his son, Robert W. Field and wife Lori Baker of Manchester, his daughters Rose Ann “Rosie” Richmond and husband Robert of Jay, Patricia Hurd and her husband Nelson of Hastings, N.Y., and Debbie Greenleaf of Livermore Falls, stepson, Martin Jones and wife Carol of New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; grandson-in-law, Tom Fortier of Jay; siblings Edith “Edie” Kennedy and companion Arnie of Dryden, Ernest “Ernie” Field and his wife Chong of Petersburg, Va., Virginia “Ginny” Lorraine of Casco, Maurice Field and his wife Stephanie of Norfolk, Va., and Norman Field and his companion Sharon of Norfolk, Va., sister-in-law, Rita Keene and husband Dick of Turner; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wives Mary and Louise; son, Kenneth Field; his granddaughter, Kellee Fortier; sisters Ellen Field, Ruth Field, Mary Thompson, and Ethel Lizotte, brother, Fredrick “Fred” Field, sister-in-law, Claire (Roy Greenman) Field, and brothers-in-law, Rockwood Kennedy and Mike Lorraine.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 17 at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., prior to the service. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park St., Livermore Falls, ME 04254.
