BRIDGTON — We are excited to welcome award-winning, and widely acclaimed reenactor John Voehl from Colorado to present a speech on the expansion of statehood on September 10 at 5 p.m. at Narramissic in South Bridgton.
Members of the 3rd Maine Vol. Infantry Company A will be participating. The number of U.S. states more than doubled during Lincoln’s life. John Voehl has provided over 1,300 Lincoln presentations in 45 states. He is a lifetime member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters and is recognized nationally as a Lincoln Historian and presenter as the 16th President of the United States. Bring chairs, blankets, drinks, as the event will be outside and is free to the public.
Donations are accepted. Following the speech, there will be a gourmet dinner with Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln for two raffle ticket winners. Each winning ticket includes dinner for two.
