In a recent article, statements were made that it would be very unlikely for Social Security recipients to get any cost-of-living allowance increase because even if one were granted, it would be so small that Medicare insurance would take it all.
Don’t officials realize that our other insurance costs also go up, not to mention the groceries, medication, heating oil, gas, etc.?
It seems to me that if senior citizens are facing large increases for the necessary items to live, they should get relief for the same things.
Isn’t it wonderful that science has increased the length of our lives so that we can become closer to poverty every year?
I came into this world with nothing. I guess the government wants me to leave it the same way.
