NORWAY — Maurice J. Arsenault, 73, of Norway died at Stephens Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 1, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Biddeford on Oct. 23, 1937, and came to live in Norway when he was adopted by Felix and Lena (Gaudet) Arsenault when he was 9 years old. He graduated form Norway High School in 1958 and worked with his father in his house-painting business. He later went to work at the Advertiser-Democrat for several years, and retired from Oxford Homes after working there for 17 years.
In 1962, Maurice married the former Judy Guilford, and they raised four children. In his pastime, Maurice enjoyed using his ham radio, coin collecting, feeding the birds and spending time with his dog, Daisy.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Annette Lyons and husband, Randy, of Greenville, N.C., and Annette’s son, Alex, of Washington, daughter, Melissa Chase and husband, Rick, of South Paris, and their children, Nicholas, Gable, Luke and Aleena, son, Joey Arsenault, of Norway, and daughter, Sarah Arsenault of Norway; and his brother, Harry Nadeau, of Old Orchard Beach.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his baby son, Maurice J. Arsenault Jr.
