Easter egg hunt
SUMNER — The Mothers’ Community Club invites children ages 2 to 12 in Hartford, Sumner and Buckfield to the annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at the East Sumner Congregational Church, Main Street.

Salad garden
BRIDGTON — A free two-part workshop for beginning gardeners on how to grow a salad garden in a small space will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, April 12 and 19, at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St.

Earth Day
NORWAY — The First Universalist Churches of Norway (Unitarian Universalist) and West Paris will celebrate Earth Day early this year. “Earth Beneath, Air Above, Water Surrounding, Fire Within” will be the title of the services Sunday, April 10. The Rev. Richard Beal will lead the services.
Vessel recording artist Heather Pierson is the music director and choir leader in Norway. Jim Burke provides the music at the West Paris church. Worship services are followed by coffee, tea, refreshments and a chance to visit. Child care is available and all are welcome to attend.

Fair meeting
WATERFORD — The Waterford World’s Fair will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at the town hall. All department heads are encouraged to attend so final plans for the schedule can be made. All members and interested individuals are also welcome to attend.

ATV club session
PARIS — The X-tra Mile ATV Club will hold a meet and greet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Colby’s Arctic Cat on Route 26.
ATV Maine Regional Vice President Mike Worthley will be the guest speaker. There will be a question-and-answer period. All landowners, riders and trail users are welcome.

NORWAY — The Heywood Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 11, at the club to plan the next few meetings. There will be potluck refreshments.
Sunday sermon
PARIS — Silver Moore-Leamon’s Sunday, April 12, sermon topic will be “The Sap Is Rising.” The service at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, will begin at 10 a.m.
The music will be directed by Forest Perkins, church organist, and the Sunday school will be led by Renee Wales, religious education director. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.
Children’s program
NORWAY — The Norway Memorial Library Children’s Room is running a program to teach kids how to care for library books. The Read It, Don’t Eat It program will be held from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, for children in first to third grade.
The Read It, Don’t Eat It program will feature lively stories, songs and poems about library books and the proper way to care for them. There will be book games and a bookmark craft to round out the afternoon.

Spring concert
BERLIN, N.H. — “IMAI Northward Bound Chamber Music” will return to the St. Kieran Arts Center for its annual spring concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, featuring selections by a string quartet of international musicians. Tickets are $12, adults; $6, students.
The musicians are artist/members of the International Musical Arts Institute, a nonprofit organization, which brings together young aspiring musicians and seasoned professionals to work and perform together during July in Fryeburg, Maine. Sunday’s program will feature three works for violin, viola and cello.
