MEXICO – Ronald Martin Fink, of Mexico, passed away on Sept. 14, 2021. He was 55 years old.
He was predeceased by his mother, Esther, and his father, Frank.
He left behind two loving sisters, Rachel Fink and Judy (husband John) Johnson; as well as two adoring nieces, Melanie and Margo.
Ron grew up in Lexington, Mass., attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and resided in Portland, Ore., and Exeter, N.H., among other places, making friends everywhere he went.
His interests included photography, collecting and making daguerreotypes, karaoke, camping, and hiking. He was a caretaker for many, both professionally, and for his parents later in life. He had a great sense of humor, and cared deeply about social justice, eager to engage in philosophical conversation, but not above posting terrible puns on Facebook. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ron’s name to your favorite charity, or to his employer, HopeAssociation.org.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
