The Franklin County Retired Educators are scheduled to hold their first fall meeting at 11 a.m. Monday Sept. 27, at the Episcopal Church on Main Street in Rangeley.
The program will start at 11 a.m., so members and guests should arrive about 10:45 p.m. and dress relaxed for easy movement activities outside, weather permitting.
The business meeting and lunch will follow. The lunch will cost $14. Annual membership dues of $10 will also be payable.
Newly-retired educators who would like to join the group and see what it supports can call Arline Dwight at 207-645-4437 to assure a lunch, or they can check with another retiree.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
