FARMINGTON — David A. Baker, 49, of East Dixfield, died unexpectedly early Sunday, April 3, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 17, 1961, in Farmington, a son of Robert and Roberta Baker. He attended Farmington schools and graduated from Mt. Blue High School.

On Sept. 26, 1998, he married Stacy Osgood in Wilton. They made their home in East Dixfield, where he made family the center of his life and was referred to as, “Mr. Mom.” Weekends were spent out back in the yard barbequing and playing horseshoes. He also enjoyed playing the drums, snowmobiling, four-wheeling and flying remote control helicopters with his young son, Dillon.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy Baker of East Dixfield; five children, Kathlene Baker of Farmington, Jessica, Michael, Alex and Dillon Baker, all of East Dixfield; two sisters, Victoria Baker of California, and Bonnie Yeaton of Weld and Florida; a brother-in-law, Harlan “Chipper” Osgood of East Dixfield; sisters-in-law, Shawn Osgood of Saco, Tracy Plaisted and husband, Kevin, of East Dixfield and Tammie Wright and husband, Ronald, of Jay; and several much loved nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.
