LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Seniors met on April 4 at Murray Hall with 27 members and a guest present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture reminded the group that there will be no meeting Monday, April 11, due to work being done at the hall.
It was reported that Jeanne Bryant had died and her funeral was held on April 6 at St. Rose of Lima Church.
An Easter meal will be served at noon Monday, April 18. Finger rolls, salads, baked beans, devil eggs and corn chowder will be available, with cake and ice cream for dessert.
Couture reported that meals are available from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Cohen Center in Hallowell at a cost of $4 for seniors and handicapped people and $6 for others every week day.
Jean Pomerleau and Francis Therrien were reminded that the Easter baskets were to be brought in at the April 18 meeting.
The 50/50 was won by Georgia Hersey. Door prizes donated by Nancy Couture were won by Marilyn DeSoto and Francis Therrien.
Following the meeting, refreshments brought by Shirley Couture, Theresa Bilodeau and Fernande Doiron were served, followed by beano and other games.
The Jay-Livermore Falls seniors welcome anyone in the area age 55 or over to join them Mondays at Murray Hall.
