The city of Lewiston is in search of a donated tree to be used as its annual Christmas tree.

This year the city plans to place the tree in Dufresne Plaza in downtown Lewiston, amidst a new holiday celebration scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 11. The tree being sought needs to be a spruce or fir, located in Lewiston, approximately 30 feet tall, and easily accessible by trucks and equipment.

Residents wishing to donate a tree should contact City Arborist Steve Murch at Lewiston Public Works, at 207-513-3003 ext. 3443, or smurch@lewistonmaine.gov.
