RUMFORD – Mrs. Sandra Ashley, 77, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at the Rumford Community Home. She was formerly of Lewiston.Born in Portland, on Oct. 13, 1944, she was a daughter of Albert and Lola (Graham) Kozich. She was a graduate of Portland High School and was a supervising cook at the Maine Correctional Facility in Windham. She also owned and operated Shelly’s Café and the Big D in Lewiston. Sandra loved woodworking and making jewelry.She is survived by her daughter Michele White and husband Shawn of Lewiston, a son John Ashley of Windham, two sisters, Cathy Drouin of Westbrook and Susan Woodward of California, grandchildren, Shawn-Michael Ashley of Lewiston, Christopher Ashley of Lewiston, Danielle Pomeroy of Rockland and Emma White of Lewiston and two great-grandchildren.Friends and family are invited to sign the online guest book and share memories with the family at http://www.meaderandson.com.Funeral services will be held at the family’s convenience. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
