“Freda” Fisher, 81, passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2021.
She was born in Guerrette on March 5, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph and Irene Desrochers. She lived most of her life as a resident of the Auburn community.
On April 26, 1955 she married her loving husband Sylvio Fisher. Freda loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. Family gatherings were her greatest joy and among her most cherished memories.
She leaves behind a son, Mark Fisher and his wife Peggy Fisher of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Stephanie Fogg and Mathew Fisher and two step-grandchildren, Bianca Proctor and Jonathan Proctor; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Landry and Sue Tremblay.
Freda was predeceased by her biological father, Alfred Saucier; and four siblings, Jackie Gervais, Joyce Labonte, Joseph Desrochers Jr., and Donny Desrochers.
Visitation will be held Thursday Oct. 28, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Fortin Group, 217 Turner St. A Liturgy of the word will be held at 12 p.m. at The Fortin Group, 217 Turner St., with a committal to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery at 1 p.m.
