Anne L. (O’Leary) Clifford
RUMFORD – Anne L. (O’Leary) Clifford, 65, died peacefully on Nov. 7, 2021, following a short illness at the Androscoggin Hospice House. She was born July 23, 1956 in Rumford, Maine, at the Rumford Community Hospital. Anne was the eldest daughter of John James O’Leary Sr. and Pauline Marie (Vallee) O’Leary.Anne graduated from the Rumford high school class of 1975. Following graduation her fondest memory of learning was on-the-job training as an EMT in 1982. Later she worked both in the local shoe shop in Rumford as well as Boise Cascade. Anne discovered that she was a camper enthusiast and cherished every opportunity to spend time camping with her family and friends. The amazing group of regular campers at Rover’s Hideaway in East Dixfield became not only dear friends, but family to her. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Louis O’Leary, sister-in-law Sheryl O’Leary, and granddaughter Eleanor Clifford. Surviving is her husband, Arthur Clifford; daughter Emily Anne (Clifford) York and husband Justin, grandson Jay of Rumford; son Arthur John (AJ) Clifford and wife Angel (Mcollough), two grandsons Price and Koehn, and granddaughter Ellianna of Peru. In addition, Anne leaves two all-but-adopted children, Michael Ricci, a daughter, and his partner Rachel Rivard of Mexico; Cecelia (Ricci) Bradley and husband Kevin, and grandson of Rumford. Her three surviving brothers include John James O’Leary Jr and wife Autumn, Kevin O’Leary and wife Diane, and Phil O’Leary all in Rumford. Anne also leaves two sisters, Patricia (O’Leary)Drakus and husband Jack of Andover, and sister Marcia O’Leary of Rumford. Lastly, missing Anne will be a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and two great-grandchildren.The family would love to give their gratitude to the amazing staff at Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice.
