SABATTUS – Doris A. Stewart, 81, a resident of Sabattus passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 at her residence. She was born March 19, 1940 in Holyoke, Mass., the daughter of Raymond Blain and Victoria (Frodyma) Blain.

She attended school in Massachusetts and Florida. On May 16, 1964, in Lewiston, she married her husband of 57 years, James H. Stewart.

Doris worked as an inspector at Philips Elmet in Lewiston. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing 63, dice, camping and especially time spent with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James H. Stewart of Sabattus; her daughter, Gail Pelletier of Lewiston; grandsons Brian Pelletier and wife Tanya of Lewiston and Brandon Pelletier and wife Caitlin of Sabattus; great-grandchildren Vanessa Pelletier, Cole Pelletier, Lincoln Pelletier and Devin Achorn; sisters Joan Kaiser of Long Island, N.Y., and Ruth Koske and husband Joe of South Hadley, Mass.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Edward Blain and sisters Barbara and Elaine Chirgwin.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 28 at BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main St., Monmouth. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Interment at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Rd., Augusta.
