Breakfast change

HARRISON — Harrison VFW Post 9328 Ladies Auxiliary will not be having a breakfast on Sunday, May 8. While a breakfast is usually held on the second Sunday of each month, this month’s breakfast was moved to May 1 so as not to conflict with Mothers’ Day. The Post’s next Sunday breakfast will be June 12.

Food facts

PARIS — Rev. Anita White will be the worship leader Sunday, May 8, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. Her sermon topic at the 10 a.m. service will be “Fascinating Food Facts.” The music will be directed by Forest Perkins, church organist, and the Sunday School will be lead by Renee Wales. The Coffee Hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Daisy meeting

PARIS — Girl Scouts of Maine will be hosting a Girl & Adult Girl Scout Daisy information meeting at 6 pm. Wednesday, May 11, at Paris Elementary School.

Girls entering kindergarten and first grade this fall and adults from the Norway/Paris and surrounding areas are invited to attend the meeting to find out about the many ways today’s girls are participating in Girl Scouting and how the Daisy program and activities inspire them to reach their personal best. Participants will also learn about the flexible options and benefits of becoming a Girl Scout volunteer.
