Rita (Fisher) Hebert

AUBURN – Rita (Fisher) Hebert, 79, died at her home Feb. 7, 2022, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with dementia. She was born in Guerette on May 15, 1942, the daughter of Yvonne and Hubald Fisher. She co-owned Hebert’s Vegetable stand with her husband, Marcel. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Marcel, of 62 years; four daughters, Linda Tardif and her husband Mike of North Monmouth, Tina Day and her husband Wayne of Auburn, Lisa Marquis and her husband Mark of Lewiston and Brenda Nickerson of Bowdoinham; 10 grandchildren, Trista, Alyssa, Brittnie, Andrew, Jessica, Thomas, Courtney, Amanda, Ashley and Samantha; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Yvonne and Hubald; five sisters Lydia Martin, Slyvia Bouchard, Alexina Rossignol, Lorina Violette, Viola Maheux and three brothers, Sylvio Fisher, Tony Fisher and Lorendo Fisher.

Her celebration of life will be on Feb. 16, at Fortin Funeral Home, Turner St., Auburn. Visiting hours will be from 9-11 a.m., with liturgy of the word service at 11 a.m., followed by a committal at St. Peters Cemetery on Wednesday Feb. 16.
