Philipe F. Gervais
AUBURN – Philipe F. Gervais, 95, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
Born in Madawaska on Feb. 2, 1926, he was the son of Eddie and Ida Gervais. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps. After the war, he moved to Lewiston and went to work as a welder for Hanel Bros. An avid outdoorsman, Philipe enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On June 5, 1948, he married the love of his life, the former Helen L. Twitchell. Mrs. Gervais passed away on March 18, 2008.
Survivors include a son, Michael Gervais, a daughter, Bettina Grivois; three brothers, Emery, Lee, and Eloi, and a sister, Clemence Nadeau.
Services will be private, with interment in the spring at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
