PARIS — Through the month of May, Paris Public Library displayed the artwork of students Garrett Haslett and Carter LaBossiere.
Haslett is a sixth-grader who loves to draw with pencil using a lot of details. His special interest is paleontology, the study of life in prehistoric times, which Garrett reflects in his artwork.
LaBossiere is a third-grader who loves the medium of paint. His special interests are painting large objects and painting with bright colors, which are likewise reflected in his colorful pictures.
Student displays are available for viewing at the Paris Public Library upstairs in the main room as well as downstairs in the Juvenile Fiction Room. Contact Billie Lou Damon at the Paris Public Library at 743-6994 on Monday or Tuesday if your child would like his or her art displayed in July. Selection is made by a first come, first serve basis. Two young artists are highlighted each month.
