She was born August 24, 1940 in Jay to Archie Edwin and Lillian Elizabeth (Powers) Richards. She grew-up in Wilton and attended schools in Jay.

On Oct. 29, 1955, Faye married David Wayne James. They had eight children, 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

She worked in various shoe shops while building a home for her family with much love.

She enjoyed camping, the lakes, beaches, playing cards, horse races, dancing, listening to her husband play guitar, loved to clean house, caring for, and being with her loved ones. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family.

She is survived by her sister, Diane Bonito of Madison; all her children, David Jr., Peter, Kathy, Cynthia, Vicky, Jeffrey, Robert and Theodore; and many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, David, of almost 60 years in 2015; her parents; grandchild, Timothy Williams; and siblings, Beatrice, Raymond, Arline, Beverly, Horace, Reginald, Gerald and Gary.

Per Faye’s wishes no formal services will happen, but a celebration of life may be arranged at a later date to honor Faye and David James.
