COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wayne Morris Logan, 81, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Auburn, and Lisbon Falls, died peacefully at home on Nov. 5, 2021.

Wayne was born June 24, 1940, in Lisbon Falls, the youngest son of James W. and Glenda Logan. Wayne was educated in Lisbon Falls schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1958.

In 1963, Wayne married his sweetheart and mother of his children, Barbara A. Downing. When Barbara died of breast cancer in 1973, Wayne was left to raise his two young children, Kelly (7), and Kyle (4). With help from his and Barb’s family, Wayne worked by day and fathered like a champion by night for several years.

In 1979 Wayne was introduced to a wonderful woman, Cherie (Cheryl) Jordan of Poland, to take as his wife and help raise his young children. While the kids were still at home, the family camped for many years at Beaver Brook in Monmouth with family and friends.

Wayne was a hard worker and over the years spent time working at the Worumbo Mill in Lisbon Falls, Eastern Distributors out of Lewiston, finishing out and retiring from Maine Oxy in Auburn.

Wayne loved fishing, hunting and golfing. He was a yard and garage putterer but when it came down to it, he was happy just being out of doors.

Wayne was a member of Tyrian Lodge #73 in Mechanic Falls and later a Shriner, enjoying many years as a Crazy Cop for the Kora Temple Shrine in Lewiston. He and Cherie attended many parades with the other Crazy Cop Shriners.

Wayne is survived by a brother, Dean and his wife Margaret of Lisbon Falls; his daughter, Kelly Barclay and son, Kyle, both of Lisbon Falls; his granddaughters Hillary Miller of Poland and Holly Miller of Auburn; a great-grandson, Wesley Gagnon; and his former wife, Cherie Downing. Wayne is also survived by his current wife, Christina (Lynch); a stepson, Matthew and his wife Wendy, all of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predeceased by the mother of his children, Barbara Downing Logan; his parents James W. and Glenda, and his former in-laws Roland and Marjorie Downing.
