Eleanor B. Hoff

BETHEL — Eleanor B. Hoff of Bethel, a senior at Telstar High School, has been selected to receive the 2022 Principal’s Award, Principal Mark Kenney announced today.  The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

“During her time at Telstar, EB has been the epitome of a leader and model school citizen,” Kenney said.  “She is a captain on the field hockey team, co-president of our NHS chapter, local and state officer for FBLA, an honors student and loves to volunteer to provide middle school students with homework help.  EB has been an active member of our school community starting in middle school and continues to lead by example through her senior year.  We wish her well as she decides which campus she will consider home next year.”

Hoff, Principal Kenney, and other award winners and their principals will participate in a live virtual scholarship drawing event on Friday, April 1 at 11 a.m. Ten $1,000 scholarships will be drawn in the names of former Maine principals and MPA Executive Directors: Horace O. McGowan, Richard W. Tyler, and Richard A. Durost.

The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
