
Starr Lee Bonney
BUCKFIELD – Starr Lee Bonney passed away on March 11, 2022 at her home. She gained her wings unexpectedly and far to soon. Starr’s favorite color was pink which was so fitting as she was loving, nurturing, kind and sensitive soul. Starr was a warrior of a person like no other. Much like her favorite flower – the Sunflower – Starr was full of radiant positive energies and brought joy to the lives of those around her. She was active in her own recovery journey, as well as the recovery community and loved by so many. She enjoyed watching many races over the years cheering on many people who raced at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford. She was born and raised in Oxford Hills, Maine, graduated from Oxford Hills adult education in June 2013. She then went on to complete the CNA program through Oxford Hills adult education graduating with high honors in December 2013. She worked a an in-home support care provider for several years – helping and caring for others was very important to her. She was a strong vibrant woman, daughter, sister, mother and friend.
She is survived by her daughter Dawn Buck and boyfriend Aaron Small, Jr., son Leevi Bonney, her mother Brenda Marshall and boyfriend Chris Wing, her brother Joseph Marshall and girlfriend Jess Mercer, her brother Joshua Bonney and wife Felicia, her fiancée Gerry Freve and his daughter Amanda, her childhood best friend Candace Durgin and husband Dale, her paternal grandmother Aliene Bonney, many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, along with many many friends.
She was predeceased by her father Raymond Bonney, her paternal grandfather Carl Bonney, her uncle Christopher Bonney, her maternal grandmother Charlene Haines, her maternal grandfather George Haines, her uncle John Marshall, and her uncle and godfather John Herrick.
A celebration of Starr’s life along with a benefit pot luck style meal and auction to raise funds to help her family cover the unexpected final expenses event will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 12 p.m. at the South Paris Fire Station, 137 Western Avenue, South Paris.
