Mary Alice Record

OXFORD – Mary Alice Record, 80, of East Oxford died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. She was born on July 3, 1941, in Methuen, Massachusetts. The daughter of Leonard and Cora Slicer. She moved to Oxford at the age of five. Mary Alice married Eugene Record on June 21, 1958, and had five daughters. She was a secretary for Cornwall Industries. She also owned and operated Woodmans Sporting Goods store in Norway, and Bronson Motor Speedway in Bronson, Florida, with her husband Gene. She enjoyed quilting and sewing with her dear friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Cora Slicer, her infant daughter Kathy Anne, granddaughter Alicia Plourde, her aunt Emily Slicer, uncle and aunt Arthur and Wannie Bellwood. She is survived by her husband Eugene, her brother and his wife Ted and Ginny Slicer, her four daughters and their husbands: Barbara (Malcom) Flagg, Bonnie (Steve) Jones, Deborah (Tom) Plourde, Darlene (Alan) Coffin; 10 grandchildren: Brent, Blair, Tim, Nate, Jenna, Dee, Brian, Tia, Bri and Luke; 10 great grandchildren, special cousins, Artie and Ann Bellwood, and a special thanks to her best friend Coral Murphy for staying by her side for 75 years! Also to all the caregivers who went above and beyond to make Mary’s life extra special. At Mary’s request, there will be no services at this time.
