Camaeron “Cammy” Fails, 11, and his mother, Ginger Fails, of New Sharon wait Tuesday before Cammy’s baseball game at Hippach Field in Farmington. The field, dedicated in June 1916, rivals those of America’s oldest professional baseball parks, including Boston’s 104-year-old-Fenway Park and Chicago’s 102-year-old Wrigley Field. It is named after Howard Hippach, an alumnus of the Abbot School, which was an all-boys school on a site that’s now home to the University of Maine at Farmington. The facility features baseball fields, a playground, tennis courts, a basketball court, a field house and a picnic area. Donna M. Perry/Sun Journal
