NORWAY — Oxford Federal Credit Union (OFCU) is pleased to announce that they have partnered with McLaughlin Garden & Homestead in Paris to present their Thursday Night in the Garden event series for the summer of 2022. “We are very excited about this opportunity to partner with McLaughlin Garden,” said Lisa Marston, OFCU’s Marketing Director. “OFCU is really focusing on building community connections, and this relationship is a good step in that direction…and it’s a nice coincidence that our tagline is ‘let’s grow together’.”
McLaughlin Garden’s Thursday Night in the Garden series, presented by Oxford Federal Credit Union, starts on June 16 at 6 p.m. with a presentation on carnivorous plants by head gardener, Corey Kotfila.“I’m thrilled to be partnering with OFCU to enhance our community offerings. With OFCU’s sponsorship, we can continue to offer this series of diverse summer evening events for free,” shared Karla Horecky, Managing Director of McLaughlin Gardens. “We will also be able to help offset the cost of materials for the artists and presenters who donate their time and talent for our guests.”
The landmark two-acre garden is under the stewardship of the non-profit McLaughlin Foundation. This year marks their 25th year of working to preserve the historic home, barn, and garden for the public. From May to October, the garden is open to guests daily from dawn to dusk. The gift shop, plant sale, and historic barn and homestead are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
