Leocadia Betty Anne White

LISBON FALLS – Leocadia Betty Anne White, a longtime resident of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully June 2, 2022, following a courageous fight with cancer.

She was born in Boston on April 28, 1941. She is survived by her husband Charles White, Sr.; her son Charles White, Jr. and husband Jose Alejandro of Elmhurst, Ill.; grandchildren Joshua and wife Serena of Randolph, N.H., and Keira and Braiden of Nashville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren Emma, Blake, Cameron, and Bayleigh of Randolph, N.H. She was predeceased by her son Colonel Richard White. She also is survived by her sisters Eleanor, Penny and husband Arthur, Linda, and brother Herb and wife Diane, and stepbrother Alec. She was predeceased by her brother Charles and has an extensive family in Massachusetts.

Betty was a longtime executive secretary for Lisbon Elementary School, serving for over 37 years. Her life was dedicated to supporting school children and their families, and she was usually the first contact at the school. She loved sharing time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and being at the family camp in Sebago, Maine, and visiting family in Nova Scotia. A Mass of Christian burial honoring Betty Anne’s life will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, June 10, at Holy Trinity Church, 67 Frost Hill Ave., Lisbon Falls. A private burial will be held at a future date at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, June 9, from 7-9 p.m. at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston.
