MECHANIC FALLS — Twelve Regional School Unit 16 Adult Education students were honored at a graduation ceremony June 10 in the Elm Street School gymnasium.
Teacher Susan Lasselle credited graduates with the ability to take the school situations or life situations that didn’t allow them to obtain a traditional high school diploma and rise above them. She encouraged students to remember the individual lessons they have learned about themselves during their time in adult education, “because what you have learned about yourself is more important than anything you can learn in a book,” according to a news release from RSU 16.
Acadia Arsenault received the Academic Achievement award for her outstanding performance in multiple subject areas.
Before receiving their diplomas, graduates thanked those who supported them in their educational journey by presenting them with a red rose.
The 2022 graduates include Acadia R. Arsenault, Kaylee M. Bradford, Elizabeth R. Childers, Tanner J. Jones, Montana M. Lobb, Ashley V. Niemi, Nicholas F. Ogden, Jaylen M. Stickney, Evan W. Verrill, Eben D. Vye, and two who wish to remain anonymous.
