PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Alli H. Manninen, 85, of Norway, passed away Monday, June 6, at the Philip Hulitar In Patient Center.

Alli was born on Dec. 18, 1925, in Minot, to Otto and Helena (Kivimaki) Raasumaa.

She graduated from Paris High in 1944, then continued her education at Household Nursing Assoc. in Boston graduating in 1946. She was a nurse for many years working at Boston Registry of Visiting Nurses, Norwood Hospital and Maple Grove Manor in Norwood, Mass., and retired in 1988.

She was a member of the Finnish American Heritage Society of Maine and a life-member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW.

Alli is survived by sons, Bruce and wife, Anita, of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Robert and wife, Pamela, of Barrington, R.I.; daughter, Nancy and husband, Charles Schotter, of Lincoln, R.I.; two sisters, Jean Wyman and Elsie Pechnik; three brothers, Onni, Tarno and Arvo Raasumaa; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband, Louis in 2009; and two brothers.
