

BETHEL — The Bethel Airport Authority held its regular meeting and Airport Appreciation day on July 9 at 11 a.m. at the Bethel Regional Airport. Authority Chairman Randy Autrey formally recognized Arlan Jodrey for 30 plus years of service to the Town of Bethel Airport Authority. Chairman Autrey also presented Bronson Douglas with a plaque to honor his father Brian Douglas for his many years of outstanding service to the Town of Bethel through his outstanding snow removal at the airport. Brian and his brother Brent have been servicing the airport for many many years and the airport manager commented that she has received many compliments on runway conditions and overall safety at the Bethel Regional Airport.
Lorretta Powers was also presented with a departing gift as she moves from her position as the Bethel Town Manager to the Newry Administrator.
Former Authority members Cathy Newell and Dan Gibbs also attended.
After the presentations, there was a small cookout for family and friends by Tony Milligan and Steve Bumps.
