AUBURN — Armand J. Bernier, 91, formerly of Lewiston, died Monday, June 13, at Clover Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Lewiston, Sept. 18, 1919, a son of the late Joseph and Camille (Fortier) Bernier. He was educated in local schools. Armand proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Fay Braley on July 3, 1948. He worked as a salesman for many local companies.
Armand was a former member of St. Patrick’s Church in Lewiston. In his youth, and while serving in the Army, he was an active boxer. He enjoyed watching boxing and baseball especially the Red Sox, fishing and going to yard sales.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Fay Bernier of Lewiston; two sons, Gary Bernier and his wife, Michelle, of Lewiston and Michael Bernier and his wife, Paige, of Lewiston; a sister, Pauline Bolduc of Auburn; and six grandchildren, Craig, Kyle, Kailey, Colton, Tyler and Joshua.
He was predeceased by a brother, Victor Bernier.
