“Victim did everything right,” the Sun Journal headline read (June 15). Yet she, her husband and their children are now dead. Maybe it is time to take another look at how we respond to domestic violence. Something ain’t right.

Easier said than done, I know, but we can’t expect the folks in the middle of the violence to figure it out.
