AUBURN — The Caribbean-inspired band Tinpanic will perform at the Festival Plaza on Wednesday,  June 29, prior to the Auburn Community Concert Band’s weekly summer concert.

The steel pan band is well known for its high-energy calypso rhythms and Caribbean-style music ranging from conga and limbos to jazz and swing.

The free concert by the 14-piece group will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the downtown Main Street location, weather-permitting.

Then starting at 7 p.m., the Auburn Community Concert Band will present “American Music Classics,” the third of its 11-week concert series. The75-minute program will include show tunes from “The Wizard of Oz,” “Phantom of the Opera” and “My Fair Lady.”
